Specializing in Beautiful & Stunning European F1 Standard Bernedoodle and Multigen Minibernedoodle Puppies
About Our Bernese Mountain Dogs We Use for our Bernedoodle Program
We will be using our AKC European males Ford and Yogi, both beautiful, big and drafty Bernese Mountain Dogs with European bloodlines that will be crossed with our amazingly beautiful female standard poodles (see "Our Dogs" tab at the top for our current poodles and berners we are breeding) to produce amazingly beautiful F1 standard bernedoodles. We also have AKC European bernese mountain dog females that will be crossed with our very handsome male standard poodles (we tend to use larger male standard poodles when crossed with our female berners). All of these crosses will give us our famously beautiful F1 standard Premier Doodles bernedoodles. Our berners are some of the finest European champion BMD's, big, healthy, sturdy, with big drafty appearance, very playful, and beautiful animals and some of the best we have seen and have produced some of the most beautiful bernedoodles we have soon with amazingly calm personalities, loyal, smart, and we continue to get rave reviews from our past customers. This line has big blocky heads, big boned, and extremely friendly toward kids and adults and other animals. They are absolutely wonderful dogs all the way through. We get our berners from three different and very reputable European breeders because of the extremely nice temperament of their parents, their tighter wavy silky coats (which helps promote a low to non-shedding bernedoodle), champion conformation, superb health, big bony structure, beautiful coloration and markings, but mostly that they are loving, non-demanding, goofy sweethearts! They have been fully genetic tested (we use Vetnostics and Paw Prints) and all of our puppies will be clear of hypo-dysmyelination, von Willebrand Disease Type-1, and degenerative myelopathy (in addition our bernedoodle puppies will be clear of neonatal encephalopathy which we test in our poodles). All of our Bernese mountain dogs have had their OFA preliminary elbow and hips evaluated and all within the acceptable range for this breed (we use Dr. Randall at Foot Hills Animal Hospital, Greenville, SC, and Dr. Stephanie Gagliardi-Kountz of Palmetto Animal Clinic, Spartanburg, SC). Our berners have an unbelievably proven pedigree (European grand champion lines) and the reason why we have carefully selected and invested and imported these dogs to be a part of our Bernedoodle breeding program. All of our Berners will have the best of what you would want in a BMD (loyal, big stature, playful, fun, great with people and other dogs, easy to train, and sometimes just goofy and always loveable). We put the hard work into our puppies and they will be familiar with crate training, housebreaking, and will have had a head start into obedience training. Furthermore we raise our puppies right in our home and as such they will be very familiar to the typical household noises they will be exposed to in your home as well. Plus we have 7 children in our home (11 total!) and they get a lot of socialization with our other dogs and kids and grand kids.
As you can see, our Bernese mountain dogs come from some of the best of Europe, and their pedigrees are exceptional. Our berners are a culmination of everything we want to see in BMD's and these favorable traits are now found in our Premier Doodles bernedoodles. All of our Berners that we use for our breeding program have had a thorough and complete genetic panel tested and cleared (see our page on the tests we do) and they have also had a preliminary hips and elbow evaluation and are excellent (and excellent by parentage) and therefore our puppies will get the best of our BMDs! Our Premier Doodles bernedoodle puppies will be cleared of having the genetic condition that can lead to DM and other genetically tested diseases. If you would like to see pictures of any of our Berners parents, or their pedigrees, please complete our online puppy application (free to apply and the link is on our home page) and then email me us at premierdoodles@gmail.com and I'll forward both to you.

Background Information About Bernese Mountain Dogs
One of the best attributes of the Bernese Mountain Dogs is that they are an awesome family companion and when bred well, will have a very joyful, easy-going and sweet disposition that do great with children and are extremely patient with kids climbing all over them. Despite their large size they have alot of energy and love to play and work all day while also really liking to snuggle with the family as well. They really work hard to please their family. They are great with other animals and warmup quickly to people they do not know. They have a charming goofy nature and thrive on human attention. This is not a good breed to keep for those looking for a more independent breed and this goes for a bernedoodle as well.
Bernese Mountain Dogs love the opportunity to work with their family but also quick to take naps and relax as well. Despite having long hair well adapted for the colder climates, they have also adapted well to the southeast and southwest regions where it can get hot. In these situations, we recommend that you provide plenty of opportunities for your Berner to get out of the heat and they should never be left outside unattended and provided ample opportunity to get into the shade and have full access to water. With that said, they can not be left outside for long periods of time in the heat. Because they do like to play and need access to fenced in areas to run, they are not the best apartment dogs although our Premier Bernedoodles are much more inclined to adapt to apartment life.
They love taking walks with the family and taking nature hikes. They will always stay with you and prefer to stay close to their family rather than wonder too far away. Because the Bernese are such social animals they must be socialized at a young age and be kept in environments where they have constant access to their family. Like any large fast growing breed they thrive on structure and boundaries. We deplore the keeping of dogs in separated kennels, on chains in the backyards, or in any environment that does not provide constant family socialization. This would violate our puppy contract and has substantial penalties if this is discovered. Early socialization is important to make sure your Bernese does not become shy toward strangers. If left alone they will usually develop separation anxiety which can lead to some destructive behaviors unless well exercised. But if you are looking for a breed that loves spending time with their family, that is sweet in disposition, family oriented, great with kids, and loves to please their family, this is a great breed to consider. We believe our Bernedoodles inherit the best of what the Bernese Mountain dogs offer.
Because of their large size, but easy going nature, you must use a confident but gentle approach towards training the Bernese. This breed is very gentle and playful and should never, ever, be treated harshly during training. Be patient, and you're Bernese will aim to please you every time. Because they can be a bit stubborn on occasion and what appears to be slow to learn (more of a "choice"!) the trainer must be confident, gentle, but persistent in the training process. But they will do well in basic obedience training and can be taught some tricks and put through agility courses.

In their own right the bernese mountain dog is an exceptional breed worth considering.
How The Bernese Characterstics Enhance the Bernedoodle...
We have hand selected the highest quality of European champion line bernese mountain dogs so that our bernedoodles have the best of this breed. We have also made sure that we are starting with the best bernese mountain dogs on the market and that they are fully health tested and of European champion bloodlines. This assures that our bernedoodles puppies are healthy, have a remarkable disposition and ready for adoption. Also, because they are crossed with a Standard Poodle, they will often have a low to non-shedding coat, be extremely intelligent (get that from the poodles), and will be super friendly.
