Bernedoodle Characteristics
● Physical Traits: Here at Premier Doodles we specialize in F1 Standard Bernedoodles (65-96+ lbs) and Multigenerational Minibernedoodles (35-55 lbs). The overall size will depend on the size of the parents but we tend to use parents that range on the larger sizes. We produce traditional tricolors, Merle tricolors, black and whites and sables. Their coats can vary from a moderate wave, to a strong wave to a loose curl. All doodles require grooming in a routine to maintain their appearance and prevent matting. This will consist of biweekly grooming (brushing followed by combing) or can do a little bit of the body once per day to get thru everything in a week. But whether you do a thorough grooming twice per week or a faster grooming daily will depend on your logistics.
● Behavioral Traits: Bernedoodles are known for their friendly and gentle disposition. However the standards are big and as such the new owner must immediately provide boundaries, structure and training in a loving environment. They are intelligent, simple to train, and highly social, making them excellent family companions. Their playful nature and calm demeanor make them particularly well-suited for homes with children and other pets. Unlike other doodle breeds, Bernedoodles often exhibit a more laid-back personality, which can be a great fit for families seeking a more relaxed but engaging pet. However families should be aware that puppies have a lot of energy and they do require a lot of exercise…a tired puppy is a good puppy!

Early socialization is a must to help them develop into well-rounded adults. Engaging them in various social activities and exposing them to different environments will help them become more adaptable and confident.
